Antonia Brown

Born in St. Petersburg Florida, Antonia Brown grew up primarily in Europe, where her father was an education advisor for the US Department of Defense.  Thanks to her parents, she developed a love for music, art, history, and fine cuisine.
After receiving her B.A. from Eckerd College, she returned to Tuscany, where her parents had retired, and enrolled in Florence’s Music Conservatory.  She went on to become a soprano, performing in theaters in Europe and the US.  Her operatic career can be examined at www.antoniabrown.ch.

After twenty years of performing, Antonia decided in 2011 to turn a page and establish a company dedicated to providing exclusive day tours of the Appenzell, a region she moved to eight years ago and immediately fell in love with.

Currently she continues to teach singing, but is also a guide for tours in English, Italian, and German at the Appenzeller Cheese Show-Dairy, the Brauchtumsmuseum in Urnaesch, the Appenzeller Volkskunde Museum in Stein, and the Grubenmann Museum in Teufen.
